Real castings never ask you for money.

DUKE-CAST is built by a film production company. Here's how we keep castings real — and how to spot the ones that aren't.

What to watch for

Signs of a fake casting

  • A registration, application or audition fee.
  • A "mandatory" paid photoshoot, book or workshop before you're cast.
  • A rush to move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram or a private email.
  • A request for your passport, ID or bank details before any contract.
  • Pressure to decide right now, or a part too good to be true.
  • An audition in a hotel room or a private flat, alone.

What DUKE-CAST does

Verified badges

The DUKE-CAST team checks casting professionals by hand — company, credits, website — before a badge appears on their castings.

Warnings in messages

When a message talks about money, payment or moving to another app, DUKE-CAST shows a warning next to it. Links in messages are never clickable.

Reports that reach the team

Every report reaches the DUKE-CAST team. The person you report doesn't know it was you.

Private by default

Your private photos and videos are only shown to the casting teams you apply to, through links that expire within hours.

What you can do

  1. Report a casting, a profile or a message: the link is on each of them.
  2. Block someone: you won't be able to write to each other, or take part in each other's castings.
  3. Choose who sees your profile and videos, download your data or delete your account from your privacy center.

Casting minors

A parent or guardian should be present at every audition, call and meeting with an actor under 18.
