Actors
How do I create my page?+
Create an account as an actor, then fill in your profile. A meter shows you what is missing. Your page goes online when you publish it, and you can make it private again at any time.
What is visible on my page?+
You choose field by field. A field you hide does not appear on the page, in the CV or in search filters.
How do I apply?+
Open a casting call, write your message and apply. Your draft saves itself. You can follow each status from your career page and withdraw at any time before a decision.
Why am I suggested a role?+
Because of what you have declared and what the casting call asks for. The reasons are displayed next to the suggestion.
Self-tapes
Who sees my self-tape?+
Only the team of the project that requested it, while it has access. Takes that you do not send stay on your device.
Which device should I use?+
A recent browser on a computer or a phone. A secure connection is required for the camera. If the browser cannot film, you can send a file you shot elsewhere.
What happens if my connection drops?+
The upload retries by itself, and picks up where it stopped. If you reload the page, choosing the same file again resumes the upload; a recording made in the browser must be filmed again.
Is the requested orientation enforced?+
No, it is a guide: the team sees whether your take matches it.
Crew
How do I appear in the directory?+
Create your profile with your job and publish it. Teams can then search for you by job, department, country, language, mobility, dates and equipment.
Do I have to display my rates?+
No, they are optional.
What happens when I accept a position?+
Your name appears on the project's team. You can leave at any time.
Productions
Can I work with several people?+
Yes. Each person gets a level of rights on the project, or through your organisation.
Why is my casting call under review?+
It contains signs that often accompany a scam, such as a request for money. The DUKE-CAST team reads it before it is published.
Can I export a selection?+
Yes, as a PDF dossier for a role, with or without your notes.
Account and privacy
How do I get my data?+
From your settings, you can download your data in one file.
How do I delete my account?+
From your settings. Your DUKE-CAST data and files are erased. If the same account serves another DUKE site, it stays for that site.
What about minors?+
A profile held for a minor is never listed in the public directory.
Does it cost anything?+
No payment is requested on DUKE-CAST today. And a real casting never asks you for money.
How do I report something suspect?+
Each casting call, profile and message has a report link. Your report reaches the DUKE-CAST team, and the person reported does not know it was you.
